Founding of the J. W. Geyssel Development and Construction Office in Cologne – Focal area: Bottling and packing machines

1966

Expanding our range – work activity encompassing packaging, paper, automotive and reactor industries

1970

Founding of Geyssel Sondermaschinen GmbH for prompt implementation of construction work operations. A simultaneous relocation to larger offices with an assembly workshop.

1978

Development and delivery of the first intermittent operation applicator designed to attach a drinking straw to a carton

1979

Development of a continuously operating applicator, based on our globally patented method, which has nowadays become the accepted standard for applicators.

1982

New construction of the present-day company headquarters. Both companies under a single roof.

1992

The Geyssel company is the founding exhibitor at Anuga FoodTec. An event at which it has become a regular fixture ever since

1996

Tatort 371 “Welcome to Cologne” with scenes shot in, and in front of, our building.

1997

A second generation family company – Ulrich Geyssel arrives on the scene

2003

We withstand the global financial crisis without dismissals, short-time work or government support.

2009

Worldwide, over 1000 Geyssel applicators deployed, as well as 350 constructions and machines operated in the special machine sector in innumerable industries.

2012

Ulrich Geyssel appointed as Managing Partner of Geyssel Sondermaschinen GmbH

2014

Half a century of mechanical engineering from the Geyssel group.

2016

Hartmut Geyssel joins the family business.

2019

Appointment of Hartmut Geyssel as Managing Director of the Development and Design Office
